Apprenticeship training

Apprenticeship training as an industrial mechanic

Every year (next option from September 2019) we train industrial mechanic trainees. The vocational training takes place in cooperation with the PCK apprenticeship training.
The training period is three and a half years and can be shortened by half a year.

While you study your basics in mathematics, physics and computer science in vocational school, you will learn in our workshop on the components and our machines the
most important steps for the assembly of tube bundles, equipment and containers. Core process of work in our workshop are:

• Cutting of components for heat exchangers and pressure vessels on CNC machines and lathes
• TIG / UP / MMA welding of pressure vessels components
• Design and installation of tube bundles for heat exchangers, arrangements of heat exchanger components and pressure vessels
• industrial service of heat exchangers and pressure vessels, performing pressure tests, assembly and disassembly of heat exchangers, repair service of heat exchangers and plate coolers

… for the preparationof your project or bachelor thesis

We are looking fora a student who would like to work on our internship or bachelor thesis in the following subjects:

• Analysis of the technological processes of the production of pressure vessels, from purchasing materials to delivery of the product

or

• Creation and expansion of work instructions in the context of the quality management systems,
• Evaluation of quality acceptance according to existing test instructions,
• Optimizing / completing the inspection instructions of the quality inspections,

or

• design and technical calculation of heat exchangers and pressure vessels

Dual degree Bachelor of Engineering

Every two years (next option from September 2019), we offer interested high schoolgraduates the opportunity of a dual study with vocational training and direct study in cooperation with PCK Raffinerie GmbH and FH Wildau. With a training contract at A&W, you can start studying at the TH Wildau parallel to the skilled worker training from the 2nd year of training.

So you Complete an apprentices alongside your studies with a practical work experience and therefore you will have two degrees. During your studies, you will be supported by us with a study grant agreement.

For a Bachelor of Engineering degree, you will need the general or subject-related higher education entrance qualification. Technical understanding, logical thinking as well as good English, math and PC skills are important. Creativity is also required to apply different theories and methods.

The Bachelor of Engineering course prepares you for a differentiated field of activity. At A&W, you will
